Queensferry Residence
This project involved a whole house cosmetic remodel. The home had a nice contemporary feel on the exterior which continued on the interior with soaring ceilings in the family room and master bath. Unfortunately that’s where it ended. Even though the inside had nice lines, the overall feel was mismatched and outdated. Previous renovations, to some of the bathrooms, incorporated some nice stainless steel contemporary fixtures. Working with these new finishes and playing off the homes contemporary style the interior was completely refreshed with a new front door, custom stair and balcony railings, new cabinet doors throughout, kitchen counters top, backsplash tile and a custom built mantle. The house also received fresh paint both inside and out. A consistent theme echoes throughout – it starts with a stylized pattern etched into the entry door glass, continues in the design of the railings and is mimicked in the tile patterns. It was also subtly incorporated into the custom built newel posts and pantry doors. This remodel shows how the perfect finishing touches can bring an unassuming home to life, and turn the everyday into a work of art.
