The SUMMA Group at Sandhills
This donor display completely transformed the lobby of Owens Auditorium on the campus of Sandhills Community College. The challenge was to transform the nondescript interior brick walls into an engaging display large enough to not only feature current and past donors but provide room for future contributors. Multiple ideas were presented before settling on this dimensional display that wraps the stair-stepped feature wall. Thought provoking and inspirational quotes, highlighted in gold, were incorporated on semi-transparent smoke colored plexi panels. In addition to the SUMMA donors a separate display was added for large donations – The Mary Luman Meyers Society. The five gifts levels, ranging from $100,000 to over $1 million, were identified by a series of custom botanical icons. They symbols accompanied the individual donor’s name honoring their level of contribution. This larger than life display if fitting for the generosity of all those individuals who made a difference in the future of Sandhills Community College.
